The Crossing cottages at Gosberton are still there so I was able to get a good idea of their shape and size for the model which then required period windows and doors for their 1950s setting. I had in mind that the cottage on the right is owned by a retired couple with a passion for gardening, whilst the cottage on the left belongs to a young family where dad works nights and the garden is just somewhere for toddlers to let off steam. It's mid
